MAC Cosmetics have a terrific program called Back 2 MAC which allows you to exchange 6 empty/depotted items for a brand new lipstick. I have heard some people talking about being able to exchange for a gloss or shadow at some stores, possibly overseas or PRO, but I am content with lipsticks! To read more about the program, click on this link and be taken to the MAC site's explanation.
After my massive depotting session, I collected 6 pots and took them along to the Myer Bourke St store to swap them for a fresh new MAC lippy! I went to the MAC counter aiming to get a pale pink or nude lipstick, and walked away with Hot Tahiti...
Hot Tahiti is a terracotta sort of red lipstick...definitely not a pale pink or a nude! It's a glaze finish which I really like as it looks juicy on my lips but not glossy.
As you can see it is not a nude but still quite a toned down red shade, which makes it even more versatile for me.
I loved that even though I just grabbed a random pretty shade and swapped for it, I found something I really like! Considering it was free, I really couldn't go wrong!
What do you think of Hot Tahiti?
Have you Back2Mac'ed?
What MAC shade would you choose?

looks really pretty and easily wearable ..
ReplyDeleteI love Hot Tahiti! It was my gateway lipstick...hahaha! It's really wearable, with just enough color - and I like the glaze finish. You wear it beautifully!
ReplyDeleteLovely colour, really suits your colouring :-) I've never back2mac'ed there isn't a store close enough to me, hopefully one day they'll let me post all my empties to them. They'll probably owe me the whole lipstick collection.

What a lovely lipstick :) I love the color :)
ReplyDeleteI have never backed to mac but I plan to do so :) I just need to buy a palette to put the small collection of mac shadows that I have :) I´m scared of the depotting process though... what if I mess up and ruin the shadows :/
hugs
What a beautiful colour, I will have to go have a look at it I think.
ReplyDeleteI love Back 2 Maccing!! I'm almost up to 6 empty pans so am trying to decide which lippie I will pick up next!
ReplyDeleteI didn't think they accepted depotted eyeshadow pans. I'm glad they do!
ReplyDeleteI've back 2 MAC'd several times, usually about once every 12 or so months! Such a great scheme. Some of my favourite MAC lipsticks have been picked up free that way :)
ReplyDeleteI just did last week! My sister gave me her empties (because they never have the colours in stock that she'd actually wear) and so I got Milan Mode and Speak Louder. Loooove.
ReplyDeleteThat suits your complexion perfectly! You are adorable! :D
ReplyDeleteAww that lipstick looks so great on you! I'm not very experienced with MAC cosmetics so I've never been even close to having 5 products to use up!
ReplyDeleteMmm yep, love that colour on you my dear! And free, even better!
