I knew that I was spending Melbourne Cup day at home with family, and had picked out my outfit and fascinator ahead of time so that I could coordinate my nails perfectly. I went for Kook-A-Mango, a bright red toned coral which set off my coral pink dress perfectly!
It has been quite a while since I’ve worn a nail colour that popped this much on camera, and I’m pleased to say it has gotten me back onto the bright nail bandwagon. Considering summer is approaching and Melbourne is turning the heat up, I’d say I’m just in time.
I was pretty excited to hear that the Sally Hansen team will
be adding new colours to their Complete Salon Manicure range, bringing the
family up to 42 in total! I was lucky enough to have a sneak peek of the
shades, and there are some real stunners in there. This was the first time I
tried this SH formula, and I am pretty impressed so far.
Sally Hansen will be at their pop-up nail bar until
Thursday, so if you are in the city for the races or simply passing through, be
sure to pop in and get pampered. I’d recommend Kook-A-Mango (of course) but the pewter shade Gilty Pleasure is also pretty stunning.
You can also get some beautiful karma your way by donating a gold coin to the Look Good...Feel Better foundation. Hop to it, free manicures are rare, ya know?
Pretty close to Sally orange (which is pretty close to emmabovarybeauty orange!) |
*I was a guest of Coty PR and Sally Hansen for this event
& manicure, but my opinions are my own. Honesty, always.
