Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon this pristine NYX stand while browsing at my local Target! I have tried a few things from the brand (their powder blush in Peach is my top pick!) and have always wanted to have a good swatch of the whole line, so I over them moon to see them in Target! I adore the gloss in Beige (which is really a lovely pink colour) and really like the look of those butter glosses too!
The prices are quite high compared to NYX online and overseas, and the range isn't as extensive either (a handful of blush shades as opposed to the whole range) but having a new brand in the market is still a lovely thing to see.
I've got the jumbo eye crayon in Milk (a plain white shade) but overall I've heard some pretty negative reviews of that so i don't think I'll get another. I do like the look of the softer coloured eye crayons that I've never seen before, so perhaps they will make their way into my stash instead.
I think the first things on my 'to try' list will be the cream blushes, another powder blush, the Love in Paris palette and some of the lip glosses. I'm going to try not to dive in too fast though, I have so many other things in my stash that are sitting unloved. All in all though, I am elated to see that we now have access to a brand like NYX! Hopefully these stands will roll out across all of the Australian Target stores so that we all have access to the new products! I also love that their are testers for every product, it means I can really look at the colours when I'm deciding to buy. I have my fingers crossed that the stands stay well stocked and neat, but we'll just have to wait and see.
What would you pick up first from this stand? Have you tried any great NYX products you would recommend to other readers?

I squealed a little. Aloud. Yay! Thanks for the heads up!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, I squealed too!
DeleteSo excited to check out my nearest target store and see what they have!
ReplyDeleteHope you find something wonderful to try!
DeleteOh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh! Is this a joke?! How exciting! Now I have to limit myself to a reasonable number of purchases (instead of buying the whole stand!). Thanks for this post :)

All serious, I promise!! I almost couldn't believe it when I saw it!
DeleteI haven't tried any NYX, so I was SO excited to see that they were coming to Aus! Compared to other brands though, the markup isn't too horrendous. I really want to try their cream blushed too! I'm just excited to swatch everything, haha!

Yeah I am not too fussed about the mark up, it is pretty good for the quality :) I am totally gunning for a cream blush (pref a pale pink one!)
DeleteOh i had heard NYX was coming to Australia but didn't pay too much attention to the news. I've only tried one thing from the brand and that's their cream blush in natural, it's actually so pretty and great quality considering it was so cheap! I don't think i would pay more than their online price for them but it'll be nice to be able to swatch it in person!

I thought it was just a rumour, but was elated to see it here! So glad to hear you like the cream blush, I really want to try one I took a girlfriend to the stand and she ended up buying one.
Deletewow thanks for the awesome news but damn the Australian prices !
ReplyDeleteI don't think the prices are so bad, better than paying for shipping and you get FlyBuys points haha
DeleteI'm excited to be able to swatch instore!!! It's great that it's been brought into Australian stores. Hopefully Target include NYX in their cosmetics sales :)
ReplyDeleteThe swatching opportunity is so exciting! I am looking forward to a sale as well!
DeleteSo excited to see these in Target! But pity about the prices :(
ReplyDeleteThey aren't too bad, I am happy to pay that for NYX quality :)
DeleteI heard they were coming and yayy!!! I kinda wish they were cheaper (16.95 for the mega shine lipgloss??) but YAY!!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought it might have just been rumours so I was elated to see the stand! I wish they were cheaper too but the mark up isn't too bad :)
DeleteWoah! Say whaaaaat? This is amazing news! Although I'm already worried about how much Australia charges for them. I'm still excited to check them out!!
ReplyDeletex Court
I know right!? They are a bit pricier than in the states but I am happy to pay a bit more for access to them - much easier than looking online for them!
DeleteI'm actually not in any hurry, strange as it seems, lol!
ReplyDeleteI do like the blushes and also their lipsticks. I have a jumbo lip pencil which isn't too shabby and the jumbo eye pencils are nice as bases but they do crease if you aren't careful.
I also think the eyeshadows are pretty decent!
I find the jumbo eye pencils crease on me so won't be picking those up, but I really like their lip products.
DeleteOooh everything looks so nice and new! I really love NYX as a brand - their nail polish, lipsticks, lip creams, eye pencils, blushes - all amazing and at great prices too!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping the stand stays that way too! Such a great brand
DeleteI really wonder how they have priced the items. But, then its better than paying $7 postage for a $5 item.
ReplyDeleteMark up to get the products over here I suppose?
DeleteYay! I called my local store and they know nothing about it coming so it appears to just be some NSW stores right now. If it isn't local by the time I go to Canberra in November, I hope to take a look there. Drool! The stand looks amazing!! Scummy people will no doubt start nicking testers and stuff :'( it is always the way. I adored the Jumbo pencil in Oyster and French Fries for just a glint of colour or as a base and lid primer. Eek! So exciting!
ReplyDeleteOften the staff at Target stores nearby my place have no idea until they open the box, quite frustrating really.
DeleteAWESOME!!! Which Target was that?
ReplyDeleteAWESOME! Which Target was that? I wonder how long it will take us to get it over here in Perth.
ReplyDeleteThis was a stand at a Melbourne based store, hopefully it is almost in Perth as well!
DeleteI cannot wait to check out my local store! I want to try their butter glosses.
ReplyDeletexxx Kat
That is my number one on the to try list too! Great minds think alike ;)
DeleteIf they're selling their twin-cake powders I'll be happy! I've heard good things about their slide on liner pencils too - a cheaper version of UD's 24/7 liners which I love so fingers crossed they stock those!
ReplyDeleteI didn't really look into the base products there, I do hope they have it there for you! I still haven't had a good go at my twin cake powder, silly me!
DeleteI'm so excited! Great find, Emma.
