U.S Makeup Swap!

Back around Valentine's Day, Beast and Beauty organised a makeup swap so that we could all benefit from the beauty that was available internationally. I was paired with the lovely nail blogger Sun-Dried Lacquer, and if you are interested in seeing what Australian goodies I chose to send her, please see her post here! As you can see from the image above, she went above and beyond and absolutely spoilt me rotten! I am so envious of those living in America, beauty products are much cheaper there and I would love to be able to haul like crazy over there!

These two beauties were special requests on my part, as I knew that they were affordable and easy to find over there. Tough as Taupe Color Tattoo from Maybelline, as well as a Dream Bouncy Blush.

Polishes galore! I was quite angry with the way the postal system works, as I enquired about sending polish overseas and was adamantly told over and over again that it was impossible to do. When my parcel arrived filled with beautiful lacquers, I felt terrible that I hadn't been able to send any at all! Mini Essie's and a gorgeous Zoya were highlights in this lot, as well as that glitter and stunning NYX berry shade.

A gorgeous NYC palette filled shades made for blue eyes and instructions on how to use them!

Some great Physicians Formula products that I don't have access to here in Australia. Our woeful Physicians Formula stands in Priceline really do my head in. Anyone agree?

A beautiful pearl-style bracelet, Zum Bar Goats Milk soap bar, Sally Hansen nail goody and Physicians Formula Shimmer Strip!

I've been wanting to try these Yes To Cucumbers wipes so I was elated to have a huge packet nestled into my parcel.

Have you tried any of these products before? I would love to know what you think I should review first. My favourite products from the swap were the gorgeous polishes, the Maybelline pieces and the NYC wine coloured gloss that matches the lacquer!

  1. Amazing haul! What brand is that glitter polish?
I never realised you couldn't post nail-polish, I did this swap too and just chucked a bottle of 2 in anyway.

If any Aus Post works are reading this, the above is a lie. Please don't arrest me. I'm too pretty for prison!

    1. @Michaela the glitter polish is made by 'spoiled by wet and wild' it is so pretty! I will have to just throw in some polish next time and hope for the best ;P

  2. What a fabulous swap haul! I want to try the Dream Bouncy blushes too - wonder when/if they're coming our way?? I've had a similar whinge about Physicians Formula although the rumour going around is we're going to get the new, improved PF down here soon *fingers crossed*

    1. @Vita I saw a beauty editor mention that they are coming out soon as they were at a meeting about them :) Probably still cheaper on ebay though, I don't like the idea of spending a lot of cash on a sheer blush. I've heard that Physicians Formula rumour too, they're taking their time with it >< I want fresh stuff now!

  3. I'm so jealous you got so many amazing products. I really want to try the colour tattoo and dream bouncy blushes. I get so sad that America has so much cheap makeup and we pay a fourtune for drugstore products over here. I own a few physicians formula products but the range here is nothing compared to over there.
To rant a little bit more I can't believe you had trouble sending polishes, I've sent them to London before with no troubles.

I would love to participate in a makeup swap it sounds like such a great idea.

  4. Amazing package! And yes, I wish we had US prices here. Still patiently waiting for the Maybelline Color Tattoo shadows to hit our shores, not sure when that's going to be (and no doubt they'll be overpriced). The polishes look gorgeous :)

  5. Oh wow! Check out all those goodies. I love makeup swaps! I like to goodies you sent over as well. Those mini Vegemites were hilarious.

  6. That my dear is a freaking awesome loads of goodness. I bet you we like a kid on christmas morning opening that package. Some awesome treasures in there. Cant wait for the reviews of you're fav's.

  7. I send nailpolish overseas all the time. You can send it via Sea Mail, but that takes months.
I just wrap it up in bubble wrap, make sure the lid is tight and right "Cosmetics" on the customs declaration.

I've never had a problem with any exploding from the pressure.

I'd love to hear your opinion on this post! Please don't leave links in your comments, I always check out the bloggers who comment so there is no need :)
