I was so excited to see that theBalm has reached Australian stores! I have purchased one of my theBalm items online and another overseas, and am happy to now be able to build up my collection of these great products closer to home (at David Jones!)
My very first theBalm purchase was the Hot Mama! blush which I bought online. I find it really pigmented and only wear it every now and again, but I adore the slim cardboard packaging and beautiful imagery. Next up was the Meet Matt(e) palette, which was a gift from Chris (after much hinting) when we were in Thailand earlier in the year. I've grown to love matte shades as I am always complemented when I wear them! The first purchase from David Jones in Australia was the eyeshadow palette Shady Lady Vol.2, I am yet to try all of the shades but am happy with the ones I have used thus far.
The most exciting theBalm purchase for me was definitely the Mary-Lou Manizer, a beautiful champagne toned highlighter that has been on my wishlist for what seems like an eternity. When I popped into David Jones last week (before interviewing Michelle Phan!) I saw that they had a GWP running. If you made any purchase over $27.95 you received the Balmbini Vol.2 palette, which is on sale now for $49.95! I couldn't pass up this amazing deal, so I now own both of these beauties.
I will have full reviews (with swatches) of all of these coming up, so please let me know in the comments below which you are most excited to see!
Have you tried anything from theBalm?
Will you be visiting them at David Jones?

*All of these products were purchased by me. Honesty, always.
I've been eyeing the shadows and blushes ever since they landed in DJs! I soooo want, but am a little too poor for my liking atm. lol :P
ReplyDelete@Angela they are so lovely <3 Now that I have Mary-Lou Manizer I am going to avoid until I have cash to splash-no use tempting fate!
DeleteShe Hulk almost HAUL SMASHED that Meet Matt(e) palette. It's awesome. x
ReplyDelete@Michelle YES! Go my beautiful She Hulk, go! Palette full of mattes? What a winner.
DeleteYep! I saw the GWP and finally caved too!
ReplyDelete@Vita what did you get!? How good is that GWP, wowza
DeleteOoh, that's a good GWP... I wonder if it's still available?
ReplyDelete@Stacey I was in a few days ago and it was still on! Hurry!
DeleteI have three of theBalm palettes and really like them. I have wanted Meet Matt(e) for a while, but I have seen mixed reviews. I think I may eventually get it, though!
ReplyDelete@Larie I hadn't seen any review of Meet Matt(e) but when I realised they had made a palette with only matte shades, I was so impressed I had to have it! An impulsive holiday buy for sure ;P
DeleteIve always wanted to try the Balm products.. I know of a site where I can order them but they are SOO expensive that I can´t let myself order anything right now :/
ReplyDeleteI really love the packaging and the Meet Matt(e) looks amazing :)
hugs
@shortylegs It is definitely best to find the one product that you really want and will use before it is worth the splurge, that is very true. I love the fun packaging they have :)
DeleteHi Emma, I always thought the Meet Mattes was a bit cheeky :) I haven't tried The Balm yet, but I enjoy seeing it. Yay for getting to Australia!
ReplyDelete@Dovey I love the cheeky style of theBalm, nice and fresh! It is so exciting when brands become available here, but it is much more dangerous too...
DeleteI couldn't find the theBalm products when I was in DJ last, I looked... all these look fb. Will have to look harder next time!
ReplyDelete@Lizzi maybe your DJ's is late in putting them out? Hope they are just stashed somewhere strange! The set up at my DJ's is large and pretty
DeleteSo many products! Jealous. They look lovely, I've never tried The Balm, we don't have a DJ's nearby so I'll have to go next time I'm in the city.
ReplyDelete@chelsea don't say so many, you make me feel guilty! Seriously though, very cool brand.
DeleteOh nice to know they are at DJs now.
ReplyDelete@Jac the more brands I love that come to Aus, the more fear I have for my purse!
ReplyDeleteYou just made my day. I will definitely be visiting David Jones!
ReplyDeleteI've tried that blush before and I really loved it! I'm keen to hear what your thoughts are on the rest of these products!
ReplyDeleteI used to have Mary-Lou Manizer, literally cried when I dropped it on the bathroom floor! It is going to look perfect on you too :)
ReplyDeleteFirst time ever hearing about theBalm. This is why I love...or maybe "hate" reading blogs - you find out something new to buy!! Gah! Can't wait to hear what you thought of your purchases. :)
