Sometimes I think Illamasqua couldn't get more exciting, and then they bring out a pretty blush duo just in time for Christmas! I could've added this to my list for Santa, but instead bought it for myself and I'm so pleased to own these two famous Illamasqua cheek shades!
I feature quite a bit of Illamasqua on this blog as it is a favourite brand of mine, but I have hardly mentioned the blushes that they are so famous for. I own quite a few, from their powder formula's to cream blushes, but the two most popular shades (to my knowledge) are Hussy and Lover, and I did not own either of them! I was elated to spot this on the Sydney counter while shopping with Desiree and Lizzi and I knew I'd be crazy to pass this up.
I have only hit pan on a few of my makeup pieces (having only been obsessed for a few short years) but blush seems to be the most likely pan hit for me. The best thing about this duo is that even if you use up one or both of the small sized pans, they are part of Illamasqua's permanent line so you can head out and repurchase them at full size.

Illamasqua blushes are very pigmented, but easy to blend and with a light hand they are really wearable. I've only had this duo for a short time so haven't had a chance to really bust into it, but I am in a peachy mood so am loving Lover with warm eyes for Spring.

The brand new Illamasqua blush duo retails for $39 AUD and contains 2x2g blushes (for reference, full size Illamasqua blushes contain 4.5g)
What Illamasqua blush shades have you tried?
What do you think of blush duo's?
*I purchased this beauty all by myself :) Honesty, always.
I absolutely adore Illamasqua blushes. Best on the market in my opinion! I love Lover!
ReplyDelete@Angie They are so silky and pigmented, I adore them :)
DeleteGorgeous product. If I didn't already have Lover I would definetley purchase this.
ReplyDelete@Stephanie I wish they would make it with more of the shades, it would be awesome. It's a great gift idea, too!
DeleteThis looks cool, i've been wanting to try both those colours for ages! Wish we had an illamasqua counter in perth...might have to bite the bullet and order online!
ReplyDelete@Hannah Perfect op to try them out Hannah! Illamasqua UK have free international shipping this weekend (no min spend!) so that is always another option too. I prefer to buy in Aus though, thankfully I work near a counter.
DeleteHold the phone! A duo?? YES!!! Hussy was my first blush from them. I love it!
ReplyDelete@Tracy I know right!? I love their blushes, so pigmented and I can't wait to give them a good go on my cheeks

ReplyDelete@Saumya Lilit got me into these shades too! Having the two of them together is too perfect.
DeleteI'm not big on blush, but I imagine it'd take a while to get through one, so a duo could be the way to go. They're very different colours, too.
ReplyDelete@olgiepolgie Not big on blush!? Ah! Lucky you are big on eye awesomeness ;P
DeleteAnother brand I have yet to try. But will definitely venture into SOON! Loving that bright pink shade, Hussy..umm..ok...I guess I'm a hussy then? :p
ReplyDelete@Norlin Can't believe you haven't tried Illamasqua, their products are such terrific buys! Especially now that the prices have dropped on Aus counters. You should get Hussy, you Hussy ;P
DeleteI am SO excited for this duo. These two are the shades that everyone is always talking about, and I never finish an entire pan of blush anyway. This is a perfect combination!!
ReplyDelete@Liz duo's=a great way to save space in the blush drawer! I hear about these shades all the time so am glad to finally have them in my collection. I'm about to finish a blush, my excitement is growing!
DeleteOMG they're doing blush duos now?! That's awesome news! This is going straight into my to-check-out-and-then-buy list.

@chloe I'm happy to see them making duos, now they need to step up and make a palette like the Danmari from Nars <3 swoon! Lover is so, so pretty.
DeleteI have not tried the Illamasqua blushes, but I really love their nail polishes, they are very long wearing, and now come at a much better price too.
ReplyDelete@beauty&lifestylehunter I've tried only a few of the polishes, but am fond of the finish of them. Their blushes are brilliant, only $28 for a full size now!
DeleteThis looks gorgeous! Great duo for travelling :) x

DeleteHeh heh heh. I told you! I love both of these, and Illamasqua blushes are SOn pigmented they will last you AGES!!!
ReplyDelete@Lizzi one of my favourite Sydney buys :)
DeleteOMG, I tell myself I have enough blush pans and then they come out with this! So tempting, so verrry tempting and very good price too! I've heard raves about both these shades so it would be a great way for me to try them both...
ReplyDelete@Vita It's the sad, sad but lovely life of a blush-addict. Such a great price, and it is better than buying two full size blushes...? Do it!
DeleteBoth of these look so pretty ... and $39 isn't absolutely outrageous by Australian high end makeup standards (so glad Illamasqua reconsidered their pricing!). I have only started to get into the brand (picked up Naked Rose while in the US, and then a cream blush when I got back home recently), and I have to say their products really impress me.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I haven't seen this duo in my local Sephora, but would love to have it. Illamasqua really does make some of the most beautiful blushes around! :)
ReplyDeleteI've never tried anything from illamasqua but when I go to melbourne later this year I will definitely be looking for these!
ReplyDeleteI got so excited when I saw this! I was trying to decide between Lover and Hussy, and they bring this out?! They read my mind, truly! Stuff it, spending ban be damned I'm buying this! :D
