Longing for Spring...Stash Shopping Makeup Look

A few sunny days in Melbourne has me fiending for a tropical holiday, or at least some more nice spring days to enjoy. A spring inspired makeup look was definitely on the cards to welcome in a lil' bit of sunshine to my world.

I have quite a few Inglot eyeshadow palettes in my drawer and this is probably the least used one, but I've been enjoying the way that mauve shadows make my green eyes pop so I shopped my stash a wee bit for the eye look this time around. I paired it with another unloved palette in my stash, the much lauded Naked 3 palette from Urban Decay.

Face:
Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Gel Foundation
essence Ticket to Paradise highlighter 01 Tropical Heat
Clinique Peach Pop blush

Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Custom Inglot palette
Urban Decay Naked 3 palette
Covergirl Flamed Out Mascara*

Lips:
Maybelline Bloom Balm in Pink Bloom
Dior Dormeuse Lipgloss
Cracking out the floral headpiece screams spring to me!

Soft and hazy purple eyes teamed with a quintessentially spring lip has gotten me ready for the nice weather ahead - it's also making me feel a bit better that the trillions of FB friends over in Europe etc are finally on the way back to Australia so they can stop taunting me!

What season is your favourite?

  1. Love the soft and hazy look of the purple, it's muted if I may say! I've never been big fans of mattes but when I see a soft hazy look like this I really want to put my shimmers aside!

    1. Thanks Sharlynn! I quite like the way these Inglot shades are hazy, makes them so easy to work with. I often forget how much I like matte shadows but once I have them on I always love the effect. Shimmers still own my heart though!

  3. I love how you make colour so soft and wearable! I'd love to know whether you think UD Naked 3 is a good choice for this green-eyed girl too cos I'm thinking about it - it's either that or Naked 2!

    1. I think Naked 3 would look nice on you, but I find Naked 2 more wearable overall and there are some nice cool neutrals in there that would be amazing on you....

    1. I quite like a good floral headpiece! Spring is probably my favourite too, some nice sunny days but not blazing hot like summer can be in Australia

    1. Thank you - it's such an impressive shade on the cheek, I wasn't wowed in the pan (colour wise) but yep Clinique sure know what they're doing!

  6. What a lovely look and I love the flowers in your hair :)
I saw Inglot when I was in Helsinki a few months ago and I was so tempted to purchase but then when the lady in the store told me the prize of the shadows I nearly fainted :D
My favorite season has to be autumn and winter :)
