Being a total body scrub snob, I initially dismissed the
Palmer’s Cocoa body scrub when I bought a cheap pack which contained it
alongside a body butter. The idea of a lotion-like scrub filled with sparse
particles put me off, but being a fan of the brand I threw it into the shower
anyway. I should know by now not to judge a book by its cover (or a product but
the formula!) as this silky scrub has changed my opinion of what a body scrub
can be. The chocolately scent is pure heaven (and has been helping me steer
clear of Smarties…) while the texture of the scrub is really working for me. It
is moisturising without leaving a noticeable film behind (pet hate right
there!) because of the shea butter, cocoa butter and Palmer’s staple vitamin E,
so it is almost like applying a body butter, in the shower! The scrublets in
this are actually crushed up cocoa beans, which I think is pretty rad, and they
do a top job of smoothing out my skin. All in all, this impressed me greatly
considering I didn’t have high hopes for it at all. In fact, since it is only
$10.99, I am going to repurchase when the chocolately goodness runs out, lest
my skin get mad at me.
Are you a fan of foodie scents in the shower? Does the
thought of scrubbing yourself with chocolate turn you on, or off?
*Bought this all by myself. Honesty, always.
Aww I can smell this from here, yum!
ReplyDelete@Gaby A seriously good scent, and I'm not even a mad cocoa fan!
DeleteI love foodie scents in the shower. I am totally obsessed with my soap and glory breakfast scrub, which smells exactly like pancakes with maple syrup!
ReplyDeleteWill have to try this one too :)
@Sophie I totally go for foodie scents too, Soap & Glory actually just gave me the Breakfast Scrub so will be trying and reviewing that one next! From the tester I smelt-whoa amazing! Glad you like it, I'm excited to try now. Let me know how you get on with this choc one x

DeleteWould you believe this is a scrub I've never tried - tee hee you said scrublets :D
ReplyDelete@Annabella That is surprising, I thought you would've already tried this one out ;P
DeleteWould you believe this is a scrub I've never tried??? I love your word 'scrublets' tee hee :D
ReplyDeleteSounds VERY tempting! I've actually been using The Body Shop's Chocomania scrub in the shower lately and I love its rich chocolate scent too!
ReplyDelete@Vita I have had my eye on that scrub, I wanted to get the butter too but it doesn't smell as good as the shower gel does-in fact, it doesn't smell nice at all. I am getting into chocolately scents, just delicious!
DeleteMmmm you have convinced me to try with your lovely explanation of this scrub. When you showed me the scent it didn't win me over, but the scrub and body butter combo is tipping me towards it. In need of a new scrub :)
ReplyDelete@Candi aw thanks, it smells amazing when you use it, not sure why it wasn't an awesome scent in store. I guess that just happens sometimes ;P It is really moisturising too!
