I used my Dior Diorskin BB Crème sample in Light for the first time, and was really impressed with the finish. I think this is one of the only times this year I haven't powdered my face as I was happy with the oil control and not-too-dewy finish that this gave my skin. I went in with my Real Techniques Stippling Brush and Dior Crème Blush in Bikini, which I think is beautiful but I perhaps should have gone for another shade when I purchased this. I used my Ecotools Fan Brush* to sweep some Amber Diamond on my cheekbones, and the base was done!
As I said, the Fairy Golds palette was the catalyst for this look, and I used the top left beige shade all over the lid with the chocolate brown through the crease. I topped the centre of my lid with the glittery gold shade, and used the centre white glitter for my inner corner highlight. I didn't end up putting mascara on with this look after being inspired by Larie's latest post, and I think it added to the soft and relaxed overall look. I only have two Dior lip products (so far!) so obviously I had to use those to complete the look. I patted the Dior Addict in Exotique lightly onto the lips and blotted it, before topping it with loads of Dior Addict Gloss in Princess which is a beautiful shimmery pale pink shade - fit for a princess!
What products do you turn to for the festive season?
Do you have a lot of Dior products, or does another brand have your heart?

What a beautiful spread of Dior lovelies! I go for more bold shades on the eyes during special occasions but this year end I'm aiming for bold bright lips and big lashes, I almost never wear colored lip products because of my dry lips but I'm going to use lots of gloss to keep my lips moist! I have a dior 8 pan palette from duty free that I love! Haven't used it in a while but I should!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharlynn! I just can't manage to get the big fake lashes bit down pat so I just tend to apply mascara more carefully than usual for nice lashes during the party season. I can't wait til I next holiday, will be definitely checking out the Dior counter for duty free!
DeleteSO pretty Emma! You look gorgeous! I think Bikini looks great on you!
ReplyDeletethank you Tracy!!
DeleteDior products are truly beautiful, I wish I owned more of them. Fairy golds is a palette I really regret not buying :(
ReplyDeleteI thought for so long about buying it and I'm glad I ended up splurging for it, I use it so much though I saw the new festive Dior palettes and they look awfully similar?
DeleteI remember when you posted about that quint last year - a part of me wonders if I should've picked it up as well despite the hefty price tag. The ones they put out this year don't entice me as much. The glitters in the Dior quints are so gorgeous though - I love swatching them at the counter :)
ReplyDeleteSuch wearable colours, it was definitely worth the price tag for me hands down. I actually quite like the look of the new quints, the glitters in this one are not my favourite part of the palette that is for sure.
DeleteI love Dior!! Probably one of my top 3 favourite high end brands along with Chanel and YSL. You look lovely!
ReplyDeleteChanel and YSL are my other favourites too, that is awesome!
DeleteSo much loveliness and you look fab! I need some more Dior in my life. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Liz, and yes you do ;)

DeleteHubba hubaa! You look awesome. I only have one Dior eyeshadow. I don't have any staples for the festive season really, I just wear whatever's at hand.
ReplyDeletehahaha thank you! I normally don't have any particular items for seasons, but this is so easy to put on that I always fall back on my Dior things :)
