March Empties

Another month, another lot of empties!

The Hair

Garnier Fructis Anti-Dandruff Shampoo ‘Classic’
A staple in my shower, this is pretty much the only shampoo that my scalp will tolerate. Trialling a new fancy brand right now, fingers crossed all goes well but I will always return to this lovely blue bottle.

L’Oreal Elvive Total Repair Restoring Crème Conditioner
Don’t remember too much about this sample sachet, but I don’t remember disliking it so that is a plus.

The Body

Haus of Gloi Twice is Nice Pumpkin Butter
Haul post here! HoG scents are to die for, and this is one of my favourites from the permanent line. I like the sample sized tubs as I get to dabble in a few scents, and this is one I will repurchase later on.

Weleda Citrus Hydrating Body Lotion*
Reviewed here, this was a great moisturising lotion and I adored the tangy scent!

The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Cream Body Scrub*
Reviewed here. A gentle and moisturising scrub, this smelt nice and actually persuaded me to like the gentle scrub side of the spectrum. Straight up peach scent, delish!

The Rest

Urban Rituelle Cotton Candy Petite Parfum
Reviewed here. Seriously, this couldn’t be any better (okay, if it were longer lasting it might be better) Introduced as a PR sample, this particular vial was a repurchase and I am now elated that Urban Rituelle brought this into 100ml bottle form. Hallelujah! Sweet and sugary, this is one of my very favourite perfumes.

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder
I have gone through so many of these, it really is the best powder I’ve come across. Am trialling other brands right now and missing this so much, am staring forlornly at my sealed backup and trying to stay strong and use up others first. Beauty blogger problems!

How much did you use up in March?

  1. I wish we had that Garnier shampoo here where I am. My scalp is crazy these days. Love the Dream Matte powder. I haven't tried the rest but it all looks good!

    1. @Aislinn Sad to here that you don't have access to the Garnier shampoo, perhaps they have a similar product you could try? It really is one of the only ones that have shown me any success.

Seriously, you need to try it. Best powder I've used to date, and I have tried some high end powders!

Can't believe you haven't tried Haus of Gloi before, I was beginning to think I was the last person that had! I will admit I am quite overloaded as well, but love these pumpkin butters regardless/

  4. Have you tried the Covergirl/Olay powder yet? I absolutely love it, I think it is better than the Maybelline Dream Matte and the Rimmel Stay Matte PUT TOGETHER. I know this is fighting talk, but it is so velvety it makes my skin look flawless again when I do my lunchtime touch up.

    1. @Vicky I actually haven't tried that one yet, though I have seen some positive reviews of it so perhaps I should pick it up when I finish my current powder. I also haven't tried the Rimmel Stay Matte, mainly due to the flimsy looking packaging and lack of mirror. I will definitely check out that Covergirl/Olay powder on your recommendation :)

  5. I already know which is my favorite and it surprised me - the eyelastin quad. I love the looks I can get with this. It's a definite winner. Of course the whole box is great.

  7. I need to count my empties! Looking at your Maybelline powder I'm so tempted to declare defeat on my theBalm pressed powder and chuck it in with the rest of my March empties but it's still hanging in there - JUST!

Maybe you should toss it if it isn't working for you- remember my 'wasted beauty' post now won't you!

  8. Good stuff. I love all the body things you featured - gotta try Haus of Gloi NOW. I've been trialling the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder because of all the rave reviews but find that it does nothing for my shiny shiny nose. :<

    1. @Liz You really do need to try Haus of Gloi, they have such amazing scents. Sad to hear that the Dream Matte powder isn't working for your shiny nose, I have quite an oily forehead but compared to some really oily skin types it isn't the worst.
