I am surprised that this is only my second wishlist for the
year, though I did manage to pick up ¾ of my last wish list (post here if you
are interested!) This time it seems to be eye and lip centered, though I am
still lusting over Chanel Rouge and some of the new Face of Australia
glitter polishes…
I am huge fan of the Clinique Chubby Sticks, and
naturally am dying to try the version they are bringing out for eyes. I think I
will be getting the lilac shade and some of the neutral/brown shadow sticks,
but I’m excited to swatch the whole lot when they come out in Australia.
Nars are always coming out with palettes I lust over,
and the latest offering is no different. And God Created the Woman is
filled with shades I’ve been wanting to try (Coconut Grove, anyone?!) as well
as a brush and an eye primer. I’ve heard the primer is the bomb diggity, so I’d
like to try it out for myself now that my MAC Paint Pot is running out.
I will admit that I often pass over the Too Faced
counter at Kit Cosmetics, though the shadows do look quite pretty. It
wasn’t until I saw this Boudoir eyeshadow palette that I wanted to
purchase one, and I think that the colour mix in this is something I will get a
lot of use from. I quite like the tin style packaging these come in, and don’t
mind the $50ish price tag for so many shades.
I have been loving all of the drugstore type lip products
that have been launching lately (Maybelline Vivids, L’Oreal Shine Caresse
etc) and have been eagerly anticipating Rimmel’s new faces. The Apocalips
look a lot like the liquid lipstick hybrids we have seen around lately, and the
colours seem really pretty and wearable. Am contemplating heading to Asos
to order one in, but they are always out of the colours I’d most like.
Everybody knows I have a weakness for YSL lip
products, and the new Rouge Volupte Shine’s seem like the perfect midway
point between the creamy Rouge Volupte’s and the Sheer Candy’s
that I have in my collection. I have my eye on a few shades, but have showed
restraint so far.
I only bought my first beauty product from Dior late
last year, and though I often admire the new collections it takes a lot for me
to want to take something home from the counter. When I saw the new Dior
Addict Lipgloss colours they had released for (US) Spring and found out
they had changed the formula slightly, I knew I had to give this famous glosses
a go. Chris actually bought me one of this beauties yesterday, but I’ve kept
them on the list as I know I will be picking up some other shades down the line.
They feel so nice on and the colour range is just stunning!
This wishlist has been saved in my phone for well over a
month now, and I am enjoying contemplating my purchases rather than just diving
in and later feeling regretful. Doing my Post Grad and placement means there is
hardly any time left over for shifts on the side, so as well as helping me save
this little list is helping me stay on track with products I will really use
and love.
What is on your current wishlist?
I hear ya on the Clinique chubby sticks for eyes, Rimmel Apocalips and Dior lipsticks! I've actually been lusting after a different Too Faced shadow palette for a while, I might have to just take the plunge and buy it soon!
ReplyDelete@Nalini
DeleteGlad that our wishlists are quite similar ;P Which Too Faced palette has caught your eye?
I'm lusting over that NARS pack too.. Looks so gorgeous!
ReplyDelete@Sarah
DeleteI think it's wonderful to see palettes with wearable shades in, and I love that it comes with little extras as well!
I actually bought the Rimmel Apocalips (Celestial and Stellar) the other night off of Asos. Celestial literally came back in stock for like a minute, just enough time to get it in my cart! Most of my wishlist is skincare atm, S&G Fab pore hot cloth cleanser, Origins Clear Improvement mask and La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo.
ReplyDelete@Tashi So glad to hear you managed to nab Celestial, that is the shade I have been lusting over since I first spotted them on UK blogs. I can totally vouch for the S&G and Effaclar Duo, and Origins masks fill my wishlist so I think you are on the right track :)
DeleteDefinitely that NARS palette too, but it is just so expensive (apart from not even being available here). I'm still mourning not getting that LM Artist's palette :p I want to get a NARS Satin lip pencil too, but not sure if I can justify the price (certainly not $39 if I bought one at Mecca) when my existing lip product drawer is positively overflowing.
ReplyDelete@sleepandwater
DeleteIt's coming out quite soon here, so I am keeping my eyes peeled :) The Artists palette is also being released this year, will be sure to let you know when I find it!
What really?! It's actually going to be here? I thought it was a Sephora exclusive. Wow, that's super exciting news :) Especially as LM prices aren't toooo bad here, if the Lingerie palette was anything to go by. Will definitely look forward to any kind of update from you about it!
DeleteOoh my gosh.. that NARS palette looks AMAZING!! I have heard so many wonderful things about NARS and especially about that primer :) We do not have NARS over here where I live and I have not yet found a store where I can buy it from.. don´t want to use e-bay or amazon :) Too faced is also a really lovely brand :) I own one palette, a mascara and an eyeliner :)
ReplyDeleteAs for the lip stuff.. I need to take a look at the YSL lipsticks ones more.. they are so tempting :D I just need to find a color that I feel that I want to spend that amount of money on :)
When it comes to my current wish list I must say that I really want that NARS palette you mentioned, some more palettes from The Balm and some palettes from Wet n Wild :)
hugs
xx
@shortylegsbeauty Nars have some really great stuff, Kiss & Makeup NY ship internationally and prices are much cheaper than here in Australia, so that is where I purchase most of my Nars products. I think the best thing with YSL is that they do have a great range of wearable shades, the shades 8 & 9 from the new Shine range are very wearable and feel great on the lips (have tried them on in store with a MUA) I wish we had Wet n Wild here, am absolutely loving the palettes that I got in a blog swap ;)
DeleteWish lists are so dangerous! Shadow and lippie wants can be endless. I received a couple of the Clinique shadow sticks from a friend and they're quite nice!
ReplyDelete@Liz having this wish list is keeping me sane as I try not to buy absolutely everything ever made! Good to hear that the shadow sticks are decent :)
DeleteMy wishlist is pretty small these days. I want a Canon T3i (^.^) heehee! I love your wishlist though. Anything from Nars would be great, since I have never ever tried a Nars product.
ReplyDelete@Aislinn
DeleteA camera is a lovely thing to have on your wishlist :)
NARS palettes are the final frontier for me. So gorgeous. So expensive. So INCREDIBLY PRONE TO FINGERPRINTS.
ReplyDelete@Suzanne
DeleteSo damn expensive, right? I don't mind about the fingerprints though ;P
Well, after a few years of not bothering with eyeshadows, I really want to try some new cream shadows, and get a good primer for them. I'd also love some of the Chubby Sticks for eyes, but most of the reviews I've read mention lots of creasing and fading, even with primer. I'd add some more Chubby Sticks for lips to my list, some L'oreal Shine Caresse colours, and a lifetime supply of my favourite Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser. My other wish is for a bottle of Guerlain La Petite Robe Noir, I have a small fragrance addiction and it's really different from any of my other perfumes.
ReplyDelete@Janet I think Painterly is a wonderful primer to start out with, I've had better luck with it than the Urban Decay primer potion, and I need it as I wear eyeshadow every day. I have all of the Shine Caresse's, and they are lovely :)
DeleteI love your wish list. That NARS palette looks gorgeous but way over my spending budget :( oh the woes of being a poor student :(
ReplyDeleteThe YSL rouge volupte shine look amazing and wish I could get my hands on one in the future :)
@MCMiki Being a student is quite tough on the budget, I definitely feel your pain!
DeleteThat NARS palette looks sexy as hell! But waaay outta my budget. lol
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait til we get those damn Apocalips things! HURRY UPPPPP!
@Angela Yeah no-one is happy about Nars prices, especially in Australia damn it! I think I may resort to ASOS for the Rimmel's, can't stand waiting!
DeleteI so so so want the NARS palette! it's sold out here though :( such a shame, as it's amazing xx
ReplyDeleteGemma ♥ | Miss Makeup Magpie
@Gem I can imagine it will be sold out here quick as a flash, which is quite frustrating really :(
DeleteI was lucky enough to pick up that NARS palette when I was on holiday in London and it really is amazing. If you get a chance to pick it up, I definitely recommend it!
