A definite inspiration for my makeup choices come from
outside influences. Seeing a product on a fellow blogger can
really spark up an interest for me and it isn’t long before I am hooked onto
the need to own the particular formula or shade. Luckily for me, when I spotted
some bright coral shades on Estee of Essie Button fame, I had the exact
products she wore tucked inside my desk drawers. A big fan of the Stila
Convertible Colours, I originally purchased Gerbera after hearing
about it on Belle Lumiere. See what I mean about #beautybloggerproblems! The
bright orange shade is so wearable but isn't a sheer wishy washy sort of
orange, and I find this works best when applied with either a flat paddle
foundation brush or my Samantha Chapman for Real Techniques stippling
brush. I am yet to try the Stila CC’s on my lips and I doubt I ever
will, nor do I see myself applying my blush with my fingers anytime soon, but it's nice to know I have the option!
Estee paired the beautiful orange cheek with one of my
favourite lip products, the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stain in Rendezvous.
This is definitely one of the best and brightest shades, so naturally it isn’t
available in Australia and came to me by ye olde eBay. Seriously stunning and
worth tracking down, this is easily buildable and I wear it sheer sometimes,
but mostly I layer it up to make a bright pout and it lasts (and fades) really
nicely on me. Sometimes I forget how nice it is to pair shades together on the
face, so was pleased with how the two stand-out products tied a whole look
together for me.
How often do you tie in your cheek colour to your lips? What
do you think of coral for cheeks?
Have never tried coral for cheeks. I think it'll make me look sallow? Because I'm you know yellow based? So I'm more of a pink person. ;) So envious of how you can wear coral so well. And chicky? SMILE! You have a gorgeous smile so don't hide it xx
ReplyDelete@Norlin I think coral cheeks would work on you, I've seen it on yellow toned skin in the past and it has worked! But Norlin, I was doing my grumpy model pose, inspired by your OOTD 'smiles' ;)
DeleteHow gorgeous do you look, missy?! I love coral!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, Rendezvous looks so soft and sweet on you but it's like neon on me!
@Nalini
DeleteThanks! Rendezvous isn't totally built up in this shot, but it is funny how certain colours can be so different on some people!
Love this colour! I find it hard to pull off corals but they're so pretty on the right skintones!
ReplyDelete@Sue It's a great shade! Thanks for your comment.
DeleteLoved Estee's coral products post :) I have no idea why Revlon decided Australia should miss out on Rendezvous (or Crush, for that matter), but at least you managed to get your hands on it - it really flatters your skin tone and looks very spring/summery :)

Deleteher posts are always so inspiring, I adore her in general and her new hair is so pretty! I think Revlon made a silly decision not to bring certain shades here, they would have been so popular! Thanks a bunch for your lovely comment <3
You look lovely in coral!
ReplyDelete@olgiepolgie
DeleteThank you! I really want to wear it more often.
Oh gosh, you KNOW how much I love coral. This lip stain is divine on you!
ReplyDelete@Katy You are such a coral girl, I love it! Rendezvous would be so hot on you!
DeleteYou know because I was lucky to get it from O/S I never realized Rendezvous wasn't available in Australia! How frustrating to hear that because it's definitely one of my favourites from that line. Yes - I do love coral cheeks too!
ReplyDelete@Vita
DeleteI think it is silly to not have that shade here, it is so wonderful!
Gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI think I need Gerbera in my life! I have a Rendevous on it's way... Estee is such an enabler!
@Anita She is a very talented enabler I agree! Rendezvous is being launched in Australia, they just announced it! But you would've gotten it cheaper anyway so good call nevertheless. Gerbera is a stunner, I really love the Stila CC's.
