lemon lovely

A few weeks back I hosted a Body Shop party, and our consultant was my cousin, Ruth. My fam came, and a few of my friends, and the eventual in-laws. We got to spend an hour getting scrubbed and moisturised, as I had chosen the party that showcases The Body Shop's top 10 prodz. Standouts for me were the scrubs, I fell in love with them when my sister gifted me her mango tub ages ago(scent was too overwhelming for her) I looove strong smelling prodz, however, and was won over not only by the reminder of fresh mangoes every shower but how gritty the scrub itself is. The grains in it are coarse, and leave me feeling really soft. I had heard about the 'sweet lemon' range that The Body Shop have been rocking lately, but hadn't popped into a store to have a sniff yet. I leapt at it at the party, and ordered it as part of my free prodz (for hosting the party) I also nabbed a wild cherry soap bar, and Born Lippy pink guava lip balm.

Wild Cherry Soap Bar (100G $4.95)

Born Lippy Balm in Pink Guava(10ML $7.95)

Sweet Lemon Body Scrub (200ml $27.95)

If anyone is in the Melbourne area and is interested in hosting a Body Shop At Home party, email me and I can forward my cousin's details. I'd highly recommend it, it's nice to sit with a glass of wine and your girlfriend's when you're trialling prodz!

Revlon Haul

Revlon and Myer have a great promotion going on at the moment, where you receive a gift with purchase when spending $39.95. I had my eye on the new 'Just Bitten' stain in 'Gothic' since Yas on Primped rocked it in a Xmas vid, so was having a play with some of the Revlon stuff the other day. I picked up the stain and the Colorstay Liquid Liner in 'Blackest Black', so was eligible for the freebies=) In this gift pack is:
*Fabulash Mascara in Blackest Black
*Classic Nail Enamel in Tropical Temptation
*Illuminance Cream Shadow in Not Just Nudes
*Colorstay Mineral Lipglaze in Infinite Rose
*Colorstay Makeup Normal/Dry in Natural Beige
As well as the makeup bag itself.
I'm always the girl to fall in love with the free GWP and be less in love with the prodz I chose myself, and this was the case with this purchase. I have tried the mascara, eyeshadow palette and gloss so far, as well as the stain and liner, and the overall standout prod for me is the lipglaze. The images don't do it justice, the colour is gorgeous on the lip and it isn't sticky or too 'wet' as others glazes can be.

The cream shadow is a new concept for me, I'm a powder shadow girl, but I gave it a go and think I need more practice and a better base. It was a bit slippery, and I felt it looked a bit messy. I will play around and let you know how I go.

Another surprise is the lining on the makeup bag, I wasn't expecting this pattern inside a glitzy gold number:A lovely nanna pattern nevertheless!

Hop to Myer if you're interested in this GWP, it ends this Saturday (27thNov).

Lazy Monday

My plan was to find some new eateries around our area on Monday, but Mister Christopher's grumblin' tum lead us to the usual- sometimes, you shouldn't mess with perfection! Bennetts Cafe in Westfield is nice and close, I often take my girlfriend's there for coffee and chats. Chris ordered the usual chicken burger, and I stepped outside the norm and ordered eggs florentine. Soft poached eggs, spinach, toasted english muffin, holl sauce, smoked salmon and a big side order of feta. HEAVEN! Cannot believe I am this late to the game, fail!Wore the Kenji jeans I nabbed on the weekend from Myer=) Ripped to shreds and very very comfy. Dye stained my legs a little though=( But nothing a good body scrub didn't fix.(Review soon!) Just a lazy Monday outfit, that I adore=) With this year of uni winding up and work stampeding into the xmas rush early, I am getting stressed and it was nice to just sit, drink coffee, people watch, and eat feta with my boy. Little things mean everything.

emmabovary's christmas wish-list!

My first post on this bad boy, and I thought I would share my lust-haves with all who stumble upon my musings. I wouldn't be offended if Mister Christopher jotted down a few stocking stuffers from here either ;)

I have been itching to begin a blog like this for a while now, filled with the things that I buy, the things that I love, and ideas that have no where else to be poured out. I do hope that you enjoy reading, and stop by regularly to see what I'm about!
