The idea of a later as opposed to a wish list is something I am becoming quite fond of. I first heard of the term from Liz in her 'Not Quite a Wish List', and I decided to jot down the items floating around in my head (and I’llbe honest- some of them came from my Christmas list!) I am still undecided on some of them but find them all quite tempting, and the realisation that I don’t have to buy them this very second is a relief for me. Rather than rushing out and buying something I won’t use very much (which I am often guilty of!) I can contemplate the purchase and make sure it is right for me before I dive in and hand over the dosh. This means that when I get my hands on these things, it is going to feel even better!
The Kardashian Beauty range is something I've been very interested in checking out, and a while ago I used some Myer vouchers to pick up one of the dual ended eye crayons and one of the nude lip sets. I am very excited to try these out, and I've popped a few of the other Kardashian Beauty products onto my 'later list' once I see how I fare with these.
Something I am pretty definite about getting is the Chanel Accent JC blush from the holiday 2013 collection- I've told Mister that it best be in my stocking come December 25th ;)
A new perfume is something I'm sort of thinking of (a typical yearly thought for me!) and the new Taylor by Taylor Swift has caught my eye. The bottle is pretty different to everything else on the market at the moment, but I'll have to try the juice itself on before deciding if its meant for me. Does smell very nice in the bottle though...Samples are needed, sales people! I'm scared of getting stuck with a dud!
Dior is still tempting me with the same gloss- the pink creme Dormeuse! I almost bought this a while back but ended up springing for Princess, which I really like but still regret choosing over this one. I need a milky creamy pink, and this fits the bill so perfectly for me.
MAC neutrals are lacking in my collection, and after hearing even more raves about All That Glitters I have decided that it needs to be mine in the near future. I'm going to add one of the clear top palettes into my collection soon too, and this single shadow will be popped into my quad. I'm also tempted by Cranberry, hoping to splurge on it before Christmas as it is such a great festive looking shade!
Last but not least is a practical addition to the wish list, in the form of an Ikea Alex unit. I've seen these in countless YouTube videos and they seem to be the perfect piece of furniture to fit my beauty loot. I can see a beautiful blush drawer, a drawer stacked high with eye shadow colours and the others filled with an assortment of my loves. I think having them organised will make it easier to rotate around, so it will be a win-win!
What is on your 'later list'?
Have you jotted down any nice things for a Christmas list yet?

My dear girl...that Ikea Alex unit is a MUST!!!! No more thinking about it! Seriously worth the money and effort (yes I put it together myself!). Now it stores all my jewellery and accessories. Best invention E-V-E-R
ReplyDeleteNorlin it looks so perfect! Though I will definitely be getting Mister to assemble it for me ;) I don't have much jewelry aside from my dainty pieces in my jewel box so mine will be absolutely loaded up with cosmetics galore!
DeleteKardashian Beauty is def on my later list! I've gotta say, I'm pretty intrigued by the lip stuff. I swatched one of their crayons (not sure what they're called), and they seemed nice.
ReplyDeleteP.S. GET CRANBERRY! It's one of the most amazing shadows I've ever used. Plus, it'll really suit your eyes. x
I think those things are joysticks? I bought the set and really like it, have to wear it more before a proper review though. Okay, totally getting cranberry and I think you're right, it should help make the green in my eyes pop!
DeleteI completely forgot about Chanel Accent! Such is the power of a Later List, lol!
ReplyDeleteI can't get Accent out of my head ;)
DeleteYup! Get an Ikea Alex! I have one too and it's perfect!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I've never heard a bad word against it so I think it is a must have!
DeleteI have heard both good and bad things about the Kardashian beauty line :) I think it looks rather nice :)
ReplyDeleteThe Alex unit is also something that I would LOVE to own, but it would not look good here in our apartment so its just a dream of mine :)
Oh btw, when I spoke of the surprise on my blog I totally forgot to add the link to the post I meant :D here it is http://shortylegsbeauty.blogspot.fi/2013/10/the-palettes-come-to-life-bad-girl-by.html
hugs

I am enjoying the products from Kardashian Beauty so far, I'll be sure to post a review soon :) I think the Alex will fit into a corner of my beauty room nicely, too bad it isn't suited to your apartment :(
DeleteI was looking at the dual-ended eye crayon at Kit the other day ... the shades are SO shimmery. Like the brown shade I'm pretty sure had semi-chunky. full on iridescent glitter - which I wasn't sure thrilled me or was too much for me :p Love the idea of this list though, it's a great way to attempt to exercise self-restraint haha
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice much chunky glitter myself, I haven't had a good play with the one I bought but I swatched them all in store. Will have to look deeper into this!
DeleteI want the Alex unit myself, but it's so expensive, sigh. -_-
ReplyDeleteIf you look at it like a piece of furniture it isn't too pricy ;) That is my reasoning anyway
