Club Ringleader

I have been really enjoying my makeup collection lately - revelling in some new treats, using old favourites and just generally digging my whole stash. A late start at work resulted in me playing around with these beauties, and I was chuffed with the natural look I created.
Too Faced Ringleader is a certified kick-ass shade (bottom left shade in the Pretty Rebel palette!) It is glowy but natural on the lid and much less peachy than I had first thought. Paired with my new shadow obsessed MAC Club (housed in the gorgeous Royal Assets palette) it created a look I loved - so much so that I've been recreating the look by pairing Club with other shades all week.
I probably should have called this look the staples look, as I've been rocking this blush and lip duo quite frequently as well now that I think about it! I think I spent a total of 45mins contemplating my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta before snatching it up - I hadn't really given them much thought before, so my knee-jerk purchase was a nice surprise on the day. The colour in the pan isn't really translated onto the cheek in my opinion, but the airbrush-esque finish is covetable and I'm one happy chappy.
El cheapo lipstick (Kmart Moisturising lipstick in Naked) + Luxe and pricy gloss (Dior Addict Gloss 363 Dormeuse) = my favourite lip look of late.
Add in some other current staples like Revlon Lash Potion and Too Faced Shadow Insurance and I'm good to go!
How often do you use palettes? Are you a single-shadow loving gal, or love having options like this?

  3. I have many more palettes than singles! They just seem more convenient for me since I rarely wear a single shadow at a time. I've been flirting with the idea of some singles, but not sure I love any enough to make a commitment, hahaha! You're look lovely as always, Emma!

    1. I totally have a heavier palette drawer than singles! I have some drugstore singles but they never excite me like a palette does.

  4. I'm definitely a palette girl. I love having options and need at least two shades to do a proper eye shadow look. But when I've more time on my hands, I like working with singles to create new combinations within my collection. Beautiful soft FOTD - esp love your lip colour. Was the first thing I noticed. Amazing effect of a Kmart lippie and a Dior lip glos!!

    1. I love using a stack of different shades with my eyeshadow too! I adore this lip combo, funny how one cost $3 and the other $50 lol

  5. I've seen quite a number of people buying the Hourglass Ambient blush...is it worth the moulah? Or would it be much better for someone who is a blush fiend like you?

    1. I think the finish is just perfect, like it has been airbrushed, so it might be worth adding it if you had a small collection :)

  7. Such a soft and pretty look!

I'm getting more into palettes these days! I used to forget about them because they were tucked away in a seperate drawer to my single shadows, but now I actually make the effort to fish them out. I like having a mixture of shades and finishes.
