Laid Back Sample Project - Update 1

I feel like I made the right decision with this 'laid back' type of project, and it is really working well for me so far. I'm enjoying trying out new things without the commitment of promising to finish them, and it has made me fall in love with the essence of blogging once more - honest opinions about stuff! Hurrah!

Versace Bright Crystal Absolu
I wore this to work and loved how it smelt - quite sweet but I could tell it wasn't a typical celebrity scent and that it came from a luxe brand. I've never tried anything from Versace before and now I'm tempted to check out more of the range!

Lush Yummy Mummy Body Conditioner*
I really like the Lush body conditioner formula, and adore the Ro's Argan scent which was the first from Lush. Now they've released this one which should please the non-rose/jam lovers out there - it's cocoa with a hint of floral and I really enjoyed using it.

Dior Addict Eau Delice EDT
This fragrance sample was all cranberry on me - but sadly it didn't last or make enough of an impact to make me want to buy a bottle. Kinda made me sad because I love the Dior packaging on the bottle, so sleek and elegant.

LaGaia Body Balm
The citrus scent was nice and it seems like a pretty solid brand, but the whole oil balm formula combined with a foil sachet just didn't work out. I think a mini tub of this would've been the go for a trial, but there you go.

*Provided for consideration. Which is the nature of all of these samples now that I think about it...

  1. Yay, I'm glad you're enjoying your laid-back project! I think I've tried the Bright Crystal in the past, but it wasn't my favorite. I actually love sampling perfumes, I find it the best way to decide which full size bottle to get next!

    1. I love sampling perfumes too - I think that portion of my sample stash will be the first to be used up, much easier than some other skincare samples!

  2. The yummy Mummy Body conditioner sounds good. I am not big on sweet or rose scents but am surprisingly enjoying the Ro's Argan Body conditioner

    1. I'm not the biggest fan of rose scents but because it smells like jam I'm all over it, I really enjoy it and the way it lasts on my skin

  3. I'm doing the sample declutter too and have found a few things to add to my wishlist - plus killed off the curiosity over a few other things. ;-)

The original Bright Crystal was quite a favourite of mine - I've actually finished off two bottles!

    1. It's a great way to satisfy curiosities isn't it? I think that is what I'm enjoying most of all.

  4. I now make sure I don't take samples when they are given as it's just more clutter in my house. The body conditioner sounds good

    1. I still like samples as it's a free way to try new things, but I think I was hoarding them for the wrong reasons before and now I can begin to enjoy new things again :) The body conditioner was really lovely to use!

    1. You should blog about using up your samples too, I would love to read about the products you get to try that way!
