For a while there I was really neglecting my body moisturiser, choosing to jump straight into my PJ's at night rather than dose up on some much needed moisture on the bod. Now I'm back and being a good beauty blogger (but hiding from our puppy Charlie who loves annoyingly licking lotion from my arms!!) These are the five body moisturisers in my arsenal that really come up trumps.
1.The Summer One
Evodia seem to excel at making summery, delicious smelling scents. This Mango and Pink Grapefruit lotion* is perfect for a hot summer day because it sinks in with ease, providing light hydration without feeling dense or heavy on the limbs. It's not incredibly moisturising but I find that summertime negates the need for heavy moisture all the time for me.
2.The Luxe One
I'm not sure what it is about L'Occitane, but I'm yet to try a mediocre product from the brand! I adore their Almond range immensely (the shower oil is my everything!) but this Pivoine Flora Beauty Milk* is all about the peony and since they will be in my wedding bouquet, my love for this stuff has grown lately! It sinks in SO fast, and smells luxurious and pretty all at once.
3.The Trendy One
You've surely noticed the hype around 'oil' at the moment - whether it be for face, skin or the bod, more brands are coming out with oil based products all the time. Garnier sent me a bundle of their new goodies a while back, and holy goodness they have impressed me. The Garnier Nourishing Oil* is a quick and easy way to inject moisture in a speedy way, but my bet is still on the scrub from this range to fly off the shelves fastest (it's amazing!)
4.The Lazy Gal's One
The idea behind the Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner* is pretty cool - slather it on after washing your bod in the shower (think of it as the hair conditioner for the skin) and then rinse off. I love the idea that it negates the need for a separate moisturiser after your shower, but I'll be honest and say that I use the teensiest bit as an intense body butter instead of its intended purpose and love how strong the scent is (and how long it lasts, too!)
5.The Best One
Desert island quality, this one! Victoria's Secret Amber Romance Body Lotion is other worldly and something I already have a backup of - the scent couldn't be any better for me, with rich crème anglaise and amber mingling together to create a warm and sexy vibe that slays me every single time.
As you can clearly see, unscented moisturisers just aren't my thing (ha!) so if you like a nice scented body moisturiser, I'd highly suggest trying out these 5 stunners!

Nightly Beauty Routine
I tend to either hit a wall while blogging and fall asleep
in no time, or enjoy taking my time to pamper myself before bed. If I can be
bothered, these are the star products kept close to my sleeping quarters.
To be honest, The
Body Shop Moringa body butter has
been joined by the new Vanilla Bliss*
fragrance, I alternate between festive and yummy or floral and summery to keep
my skin soft. I can’t get enough of my Victoria’s Secret Amber Romance lotion,
that stuff couldn’t smell better if it tried. Hands are treated to my all-time
favourite cream, Endota Spa’s Lavender & Alpine Pepper*. Never would I have
considered putting lavender with pepper, so I guess it is lucky there are
places like Endota around!
I’ve almost used up my QV
Heel Balm, and love slathering it on
before I go to bed to keep my feet from getting dry and horrible. There is
nothing worse (in my opinion) than seeing someone wearing a killer pair of
shoes, with cracked and peeling heels. Avoid at all costs, prevention is better
than cure in this scenario. My L’Occitane
Lavande Cologne* smells too good, and
relaxes me if I’m feeling anxious or having trouble going to sleep at night.
This sits on my desk and I use it quite frequently to soothe my mind (and make
myself smell good in the process) Huge bottle is a lifesaver! I tend to give
myself a manicure before bed, so that I can sleep in a little later in the
morning rather than having to do my nails then. Seche Vite is a topcoat I am trying out at the moment (and Sally Hansen Diamond Flash*, too) I’m
leaning towards vampy nails right now (bottle pictured is from the essence Breaking Dawn Part 2 collection) I’m also loving festive nails, but
summer is coming so I am sure brights will be gracing my nails quite often as
well.

Current Favourites
Time to share my current beauty loves with you all!
Illamasqua Blush in Sophie*
This coral shade has golden shimmer in it which just adds a glow to the skin, without making my cheeks look like chubby glitter pillows! I love the shimmer blushes from Illamasqua, so far they've only made a few shades in the shimmer formula but wow they like to do it right.
Dior Amber Diamond
I think everyone in the beauty world knows of this beauty! I love the way this blends so easily into the cheekbones, and makes me look awake in a natural way. I love to pair this with Sophie and the Clinique bronzer to create a pretty, sunny look, even on my fair bear face.
Victoria's Secret Amber Romance Body Lotion
I bought this in the airport on the way back from IMATS and BBU, and I am addicted to the scent. I don't think I've tried anything with amber before, and I suspect I may be a fan. The bottle is shimmery and pretty, and I can't wait to keep this on my desk when I set up my new makeup area.
Clinique Superbalanced Bronzer*
Usually not one for bronzer, I've been dusting this on almost every day for the past couple of weeks! I like that it suits my pale complexion, but is also buildable so would work for medium complexions as well. I get a real thrill when I shave off some of this sunshine in a pot, it actually makes me look forward to doing my makeup a little bit more.
Urban Decay Naked Palette
I've had this for an age, and go through stages where I use it non-stop and lately, that has been the trend. My favourites shadows from it are (obviously) Virgin, which I use to highlight, and Sin, which I either use all over or in my inner corner. Smog, Darkhorse and Toasted are other favourites that I've been using a heap lately.
Laura Mercier Eye & Cheek Palette
Have been obsessed with the African Violet eyeshadow from this palette, but every shade has graced my lids of late. Black Plum is a most beautiful colour for a wee smoky eye of an evening.
What are your current favourites?
Do you wear makeup every day, or just on special occasions?
